Week of April 20-24, 2020
Music Class
Rhythm is a pattern of long and short notes or tones. Rhythm can also be thought of as the long sounds or the short sounds that you hear in music. Let's play a game! Please click HERE to play a rhythm game. Please select the MATCH THE RHYTHM GAME. Students will listen to a rhythm played on the drums. Students will then have to tap (the screen or the mouse) to play the same rhythm. This game can be played on a laptop or desktop computer, but it is also compatible with an iPad or iPhone as well. There are options for beginner and advanced students. Please start by selecting the beginner option. After students become familiar with the game, they can choose to play the advanced option. This is a great way to have fun while learning at the same time!
Art Class
Online Learning is a new experience for many of us. Students, Teachers, and Parents and Guardians are all learning new things every day! Since this is a new style of learning for everyone involved, it is important that the students understand the importance of internet safety. Please refer to this basic list for internet safety by clicking HERE. After students read these guidelines ( or have the guidelines read to them), students should create a poster for internet safety. The poster can be created using any type of paper that you have available in your home. Students should choose one of the rules for internet safety and draw a picture of themselves following that rule. For example, the student may draw a picture of themselves having an adult help them with their work on the computer.
