Week of May 18-22, 2020
Music Class
Over the last few weeks, we have been studying Peter and the Wolf. Today we are going to change our direction. We have heard the themes of the characters in Peter and the Wolf. Now, we are going to create some music on our own. Please click HERE to visit the music game website. In this game, you will drag the letter names of notes into the circles at the top of the page. The notes are labeled using the musical alphabet. The musical alphabet is A-B-C-D-E-F-G. The yellow notes are short. The orange notes are medium. The green notes are long. The blue notes are the longest. After you drag your notes to the top, please click play to hear your creation. You may visit this website and play this game as often as you'd like.
Art Class
For this week's Art Project, you will follow along with the video to draw cotton candy. For this project, you will need paper, a pencil, crayons or color pencils, and a black marker if you'd like to outline. Please watch the entire video before you begin your drawing. As I've said over the last few weeks, the leader in this video uses a marker to draw, but I would prefer you to use a pencil since you can not erase a marker in the event that you make a mistake. After you watch the video, please begin your drawing by following the steps presented in the video. Please pause the video as you need. Once your drawing is complete, you may use a black marker to outline your work. Once you have completed outlining your cotton candy, please color your drawing. You may color your cotton candy using any colors that you wish. Your colors do not have to match the video.
